대구광역시연합회(회장 박병용) 경로당광역지원센터(센터장 김영호)에서는 고혈압,당뇨병관리사업단과 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 지난 5월부터 심뇌혈관질환교육을 1차적으로 경로당회장 등 회원 107명에 대해 실시하였으며,
10월에는 2차적으로 각 구군별 소방서에서 심페소생술 교육을 받았으며, 동시에 자동제세동기 작동하는 방법까지 습득하게 되었다.
또 시내 미용실 건강리더(약70명)와 함께 실습을 받아 더욱 효과를 높였다.
김영호 센터장은 달성소방서에서 직접 심폐소생술 교육을 받으면서 \" 어르신들이 익혀두면 요긴하게 쓰일 수 있는 도움되고 보람있는 교육\"이라고 하면서, \'자동제세동기의 명칭이 너무 어려워 불편하여 좀더 쉬운 말로 바꿔주면 좋겠다\' 했다.
